Investigators still have little clue of a mysterious murder that stunned a neighborhood in Tomball.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Investigators hope a $ 20,000 reward will help them locate the person who murdered Elizabeth Barraza, 29, in Tomball last month.
Sergio Barraza said what his last farewell to Elizabeth would be minutes before she was ambushed in her own driveway.
“I had just left for work,” Barraza said on Wednesday. “I am so happy that the last words I could say to my beautiful wife were ‘I love you. “” And she said ‘I love you too’. “
Liz Barraza was preparing for a garage sale when she received several bullets on the morning of January 25.
Barraza and her husband would use the profits to help pay for a birthday trip.
“I had to trade in our fifth anniversary for his funeral,” Barraza said.
Barraza’s father described her as “a simple, kind and generous person, happily living a life of incredible service”.
“She spent her adult life spreading joy to everyone around her,” he added.
Barraza and her husband Sergio were involved in the 501st Legion and other groups. Through these groups, they turned a passion for Star Wars into smiles for sick children and adults.
“This brutal act demands justice,” his father said.
Barraza says he and his wife have dedicated so much time to charity with the 501st Legion, helping children in hospitals and volunteering at community events. He added that Liz died at the hospital where she spent so many hours volunteering.
“I need justice for Liz,” he said.
The suspect, a woman or a man dressed as a woman, sped off in an old black four-door Nissan Frontier.
The shooting was filmed on video surveillance. Investigators still do not know of a motive.
Barraza died a day after the shooting at a hospital where she had visited sick children.
