Much like the first installment, armor in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 consists of various pieces scattered throughout the region and can be acquired by completing side quests, trading with merchants, or simply giving some guards a good night's sleep to borrow their outfits indefinitely.

How Armor Works in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Armor is made up of 16 pieces, all of which contribute to your overall player stats when equipped. Accessory pieces, such as rings and necklaces, do not contribute towards defensive stats. The armor pieces are:
- Helmet
- Cap
- Hood
- Coif
- Neck Guard
- Chest Plate
- Coat
- Gambeson
- Shirt
- Sleeves
- Gloves
- Quilted Hose
- Shoes
- Rowel Spurs
- Jewelry - 2 slots
How to Wear Chainmail Armor
You can mix and match just about any type of armor to your liking. However, if you want to wear protective armor such as chainmail armor, you must wear the following padded pieces first before putting on the respective protective pieces:
- Coif - Head
- Gambeson - Body
- Quilted Hose / Padded Chausses - Legs
- Shoes - Feet
Clothing such as coats and neck guards are not necessary to put on before the protective armor and can even be worn alongside the padded and protective armor.
The more armor you equip, the more weight you have to carry. Keep an eye on the piece’s weight to not go over your current capacity threshold. To increase your maximum capacity you must increase your Strength level.
Each piece of clothing will affect the following player stats and depending on the state and level rank, the same piece of clothing could have a slightly different impact on your character’s stats.
Unlike the previous installment, you can swap between 3 different outfits on the fly if you need them for different occasions. You can also utilize the same piece of armor for multiple outfits. However, you can not change outfits during battle.
Where to Find Armor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Armor can be found in various spots throughout Bohemia. One of the easiest, but most expensive ways to acquire armor and clothing is by visiting local merchants such as the tailor Bartoshek in Troskowitz.
However, if you are a little more daring, you can steal armor from just about everyone in this game. In addition, you can find armor hidden inside locked chests located either inside homes, camps or abandoned establishments such as ruined farms. How to Repair Armor in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Just like weapons, armor can be damaged and you will need either the skills or the services of a blacksmith to repair them. Alternatively, you can use kits, which you can either buy or loot. These one-time kits allow you to repair clothing pieces on the go. However, once you pass a certain limit, they are of no use and you will need to buy or find another kit.

Below is a list of possible armor sets in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Much like the first game, there is no definitive armor set where all the pieces will be the same type, besides a few unique armor sets such as the Brunswick armor. Therefore, most of the time you will be mixing and matching pieces to create your armor.
Some outfits have slight variations, such as a different helmet or coat, but in general are considered similar outfits. If you would like to see more variations of a particular outfit or stats of its pieces, click on the armor set for more details.
