Kraven has almost appeared several times as a villain in existing film series, but never made the cut.
The current Spider-Man film series, which sees Tom Holland take on the lead role, has reportedly featured Kraven in his third installment, which is currently in production. But this idea was abandoned.
Prior to that, Kraven was scheduled to appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, but that film series never made it past a second movie.
He was also set to appear in The Sinister Six – another movie that never came to fruition.
Adversary: Kraven first appeared in Marvel Comics in The Amazing Spider-Man in 1964, and apart from being one of Spider-Man’s enemies, he is also a founding member of The Sinister Six.
The character has been a strong part of the Spider-Man comic book series, and his goal is to kill Spider-Man to prove he’s the greatest hunter in the world.
However, Kraven maintains a code of honor and justice, treating his opponents as equals.
Despite appearing in video games, he has yet to appear in a movie – with the next film apparently giving him the lead role he deserves.
It remains to be seen whether the writers have any hope that Spider-Man actor Tom, 24, will appear.
